Terms of Service — Rufi

Version 1.0 · under legal review · updated 9 September 2026

1. Who we are

Rufi is provided by Maria Consuelo Maddaloni, Minturno (LT), Italy (“we”). Contact: rufi@rufiway.com. By using Rufi you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the app.

2. What Rufi is and is not

Rufi is an informational and educational tool for personal finance. It helps you organise income, expenses, budgets and net worth, and points out bonuses, deductions and benefits that may apply to you, with step-by-step guidance on how to claim them.

Rufi is not and does not replace: a financial advisor, an accountant, a tax assistance centre, a lawyer or a bank. In particular:

  • Rufi does not file applications, returns or claims on your behalf and does not certify your entitlement to any benefit.
  • Rufi does not provide investment advice and does not recommend specific financial instruments. Allocation models and comparisons are educational examples you choose.
  • Tax information is based on public sources, shown with a verification date, and consists of prudent estimates. Rules change: always check with a tax assistance centre or accountant before acting.
  • Rufi does not assess your creditworthiness.

3. Artificial intelligence

Some content is generated by AI models and is labelled as such. It may contain inaccuracies: it is input, not a decision. You can turn AI features off in Settings.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You are responsible for the data you enter and for keeping your credentials safe. Enable biometric lock and two-factor authentication if your device allows it.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings: your data is deleted immediately (see the Privacy Policy for household details).
  • We may suspend or close an account in case of abusive, fraudulent use or breach of these terms, notifying you unless urgent.

5. Household

If you create or join a household, the household’s financial data is shared among members. Invite only people you trust. A member who leaves keeps their entered transactions in the household, attributed to the administrator.

6. Price, renewal and right of withdrawal

Rufi is currently free. Some features are marked “coming soon” or “Premium”: you can ask to be notified when they become available.

The rules below will apply once we introduce paid plans. We are writing them now so that you can read them beforehand, not afterwards.

Before purchase we show you, clearly and without you having to look for them: the total price, the subscription term, the first renewal date and how to cancel.

Right of withdrawal (14 days). As a consumer you have fourteen days to change your mind, without giving a reason and at no cost. Because the subscription starts immediately, at the time of purchase we ask for your express consent to immediate performance and your acknowledgement that, once the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal is lost (art. 59(1)(o) of the Italian Consumer Code). If you withdraw while the period is running, you pay only for the part you have used. We send you confirmation of that consent on a durable medium — an email that stays yours — within a reasonable time of the purchase.

Automatic renewal. The subscription renews at expiry for an equal term. We remind you at least 15 days in advance, with the renewal price and the link to cancel. Cancelling is as easy as subscribing: the same route, the same number of steps, no phone calls and no emails to write.

Launch pricing. If we offer “Founders” or similar conditions, they are a time-limited launch price, stated as such with an end date. We will not use struck-through prices or discounts calculated against a list price that was never actually charged.

Invoices and refunds. If the purchase is made through the App Store or Google Play, billing and refunds follow the store’s rules and requests must be made there. If it is made through our merchant of record, they handle it and you will find the details on the receipt.

7. Permitted use

You may not: use Rufi for unlawful purposes; attempt to access other users’ data; decompile, copy or resell the app; overload or interfere with the service; enter third parties’ data without the right to do so.

8. Intellectual property

The app, code, texts, graphics and the Rufi trademark are owned by us or licensed to us. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app. The data you enter remains yours; you can export it at any time.

9. Service availability

We do our best to keep Rufi available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice; if the service is discontinued, we will give you time to export your data.

10. Liability

Rufi provides tools and information for educational purposes: financial decisions remain yours.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from decisions taken on the basis of the app’s information, from data you entered incorrectly or incompletely, from subsequent regulatory changes, from temporary unavailability of the service, or from use that does not comply with these terms.

What we never exclude. This limitation does not apply to wilful misconduct or gross negligence (art. 1229 of the Italian Civil Code), to personal injury, or in any case where the law prohibits exclusion. If you are a consumer, your mandatory rights remain unaffected: no clause of these terms is to be read so as to cause a significant imbalance to your detriment under arts. 33-36 of the Italian Consumer Code, and any clause having that effect is void while the rest of the terms remain valid.

Paid plans. If you have an active subscription and the service does not conform to what was promised, you have the remedies provided by Legislative Decree 170/2021 for contracts for the supply of digital content and services: bringing the service into conformity, a price reduction, or termination of the contract, in the order and on the conditions set out by law.

11. Changes to the terms

If we change these terms substantially, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app before continuing to use it. The current version is at rufiway.com/terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, the courts of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile have jurisdiction. You may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). For any complaint write to rufi@rufiway.com.
